This poster shows what it took for the United States to land a man on the Lunar
Surface. The central subject is the Lunar Lander, retro-rockets blazing, touching
down on the Moon's surface. The poster shows the steps it took to accomplish that.
The Mercury Program put the first American into space, the two-man Gemini Program
proved that he could live in the hostile environment. The Apollo Earth Orbit Program
tested the hardware and the Apollo-Jupiter Program took him to the moon. The launch
vehicles, space craft and astronauts for each program are shown. Each is accompanied
by captions explaining the significance of each program.
